Joined the Y a few weeks ago. We mostly go to the Hixson location and have been enjoying it. The Downtown location is something else completely. Huge facility with so much to offer. Had a great time doing my cardio there. There is a lot of people but you don't feel crowded thanks to the large floorplan.

For moms and families this place is wonderful! My first child is 9 months old and I’m trying to find the new routine. Been interested in a YMCA membership for a long time and finally signed my family up. My husband enjoyed his solo visit, and the staff were so kind with my daughter when I visited. Love the family parking right by the front entrance, and it was really like a mommy spa day for me! Only left my daughter for an hour and got to swim, hot tub, steam room, shower, and dry my hair. I think any mom can agree that is amazing !! The staff in child watch held my daughter the whole time and I could see her from the open swim pool and they really tried to get her to play and be comfortable. This place is definitely part of the routine now and I can’t wait to see everything there is offered here.

Great downtown location that is under going some great renovations. Friendly staff and great child care makes it a great place for families but all of the awesome cardio, strength training, and group fitness options means it has something for everyone. I especially love all the new Life Fitness and Hammer Strength they have there. There are more options coming soon too. Great facility!

One of the best YMCAs I’ve ever visited! The Downtown Chattanooga YMCA truly has something for everyone—plenty of group fitness and wellness classes, excellent childcare services, a beautiful indoor pool, racquetball and basketball courts, and spacious multi-level fitness areas with high-quality equipment. Whether you’re a parent, a senior, a student, or just someone looking to stay active and healthy, this facility offers a welcoming, inclusive environment for all ages and fitness levels. Everything is clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. I travel often for work and use my nationwide YMCA membership to explore different locations—this one easily ranks in my top 5. I’ll definitely be back when I return for the Smoky Mountain Volleyball Series. Highly recommend it for locals and visitors alike!

This place has been newly remodeled and it seems to be a perfectly fine place to work out.YMCA is pretty affordable and typically has great child watch as long as you call to make sure you know what hours they are actually open. Two big pools let you get your swim on for sure, an indoor track down stairs is nice also. Plenty of free weights and treadmills to boot. They do have a couple racquetball rooms left. They actually have a nice indoor basketball court here also, but don’t think you’ll be playing basketball, they seem to shut that thing down most of the day for the newly believed pickleball.
